It’s been a busy week for the team of volunteer moms that comprise Education First Shawnee Mission! We started off the week at forums hosted by the Shawnee Mission Area Council PTA for Districts 17 and 24 on Monday, and District 18 on Tuesday. We enjoyed hearing our endorsed candidates Tom Cox, Laura Smith-Everett and Cindy Neighbor as they shared how they will work for public schools in the legislature. On Wednesday, we supported our endorsed candidates in the Lenexa 4th of July Parade. It was wonderful getting to see so many people engaged and excited about the upcoming primary elections on August 7th!
